Meta tags are located inside your HTML’s head area.

Meta tags contains four most important parts.

  • Meta Title

Google recently increase the characters limit for Meta Description. Now Google is Showing up-to 300 Character.

The meta keywords tag is where you put all the keywords you use in your site Google has cleared it will not consider meta keywords as their ranking factor.

Still we can use it for other search engine like Bing, Yahoo, Baidu.

With these tags, you’re telling the search engines what to do with your pages.

Index/Noindex — This tells the engines whether to show your page in search results or not.

Heading Tags

As the name Suggest, it is tags that are used for the creations of headings. Heading tags are from H1 to H6. Heading tags can Be found in the body.

Heading tag H1 is the most important header in Google’s eyes and forms the title of the page.

Identifying the title with an H1 tag will help Google quickly know what the content is about.

Only One H1 Tag should be used per page. It should contain the main keyword which we are targeting.

Content Length

There is no ideal content length for SEO. It totally depends on your niche and competition.

But many studies prove the more the content length more the chances to increase the ranking. There have been several studies performed that prove this to be true.

Take for instance one study that analyzed articles to determine the correlation between social shares and content length.

Here’s what they found.

According to their findings, “3,000–10,000-word content gets the most shares.”

Another study from SerpIQ concurred.

However, their findings were a bit different and found that just over 2,450 words were the sweet spot.

In September of 2016, Backlinko released their own research that found that the ideal word count had dropped a little bit, and “the average word count of a Google first page result was 1,890 words.”

Although the ideal word count of each of these three studies varies, it’s still obvious that long form is best.
